  • Same credits as the app
Set up

Connect it once

The same link works in Claude, ChatGPT and other MCP apps. Pick your app to see how it's added.

Connect CreatorSaver to Claude

  1. Sign in to CreatorSaver, open MCP in the menu and click Copy link. It's included with every paid plan.
  2. In Claude on the web (claude.ai) or the desktop app, go to Customize → Connectors. On Team and Enterprise, an Owner adds it once in Organization settings → Connectors, then members click Connect.
  3. Click + Add → Add custom connector, name it “CreatorSaver” and paste your link. Leave the advanced settings empty.
  4. Click Add, then Connect. A CreatorSaver window opens — sign in and click Allow.
  5. In a chat, open + → Connectors and switch CreatorSaver on. Then ask “Analyze @nasa on TikTok”.
Step 1 of 5 · Copy your link
  • Free Claude accounts can add one custom connector.
  • Once it's added on the web or desktop, it works in the Claude mobile app too.

Connect CreatorSaver to ChatGPT

  1. Sign in to CreatorSaver, open MCP in the menu and click Copy link. It's included with every paid plan.
  2. In ChatGPT on the web (chatgpt.com), open Plugins in the sidebar and click Add. No developer mode is needed.
  3. In Add custom MCP server, name it “CreatorSaver”, choose Server URL and paste your link. Keep OAuth for authentication and tick I understand and want to continue.
  4. Click Create as a plugin. A CreatorSaver window opens — sign in and click Allow.
  5. In a new chat, type @ and pick CreatorSaver. Then ask “Analyze @nasa on TikTok”.
Step 1 of 5 · Copy your link
  • Custom MCP servers work in ChatGPT on the web (chatgpt.com), not in the ChatGPT mobile apps.
  • Which ChatGPT plans can add one is up to OpenAI. On a Business, Enterprise or Edu workspace, an admin may need to allow it first, and some plans may only allow tools that don't change anything, so tools that use a credit may not be offered there.
  • ChatGPT's menu names can change. If one differs, look for Plugins and Add custom MCP server.

Connect other MCP apps with an API key

  1. Create an API key

    Sign in to CreatorSaver, open MCP in the menu, then create an API key and copy it with your connector link. API keys are included with every paid plan.

  2. Add it to your app

    Pick your app below and add the config, putting your link in place of <CONNECTOR_URL> and your key in place of <YOUR_API_KEY>.

  3. Ask in a chat

    Start a new chat in your app and ask “Analyze @nasa on TikTok”.

Claude Code

Run this in your terminal. --scope user saves it for you only, in ~/.claude.json, for all your projects.

Terminal
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user creatorsaver \
  <CONNECTOR_URL> \
  --header "Authorization: Bearer <YOUR_API_KEY>"
  • Leave out --scope project: it writes the key into .mcp.json in your project, a file teams often share.

Cursor

Add this to ~/.cursor/mcp.json (all your projects) or .cursor/mcp.json (one project).

JSON
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "creatorsaver": {
      "url": "<CONNECTOR_URL>",
      "headers": {
        "Authorization": "Bearer <YOUR_API_KEY>"
      }
    }
  }
}
  • To keep the key out of the file, write Bearer ${env:CREATORSAVER_API_KEY} and set that environment variable.

VS Code

For GitHub Copilot in VS Code. Add this to .vscode/mcp.json in your project, or to your user mcp.json (command: MCP: Open User Configuration).

JSON
{
  "inputs": [
    {
      "type": "promptString",
      "id": "creatorsaver-key",
      "description": "CreatorSaver API key",
      "password": true
    }
  ],
  "servers": {
    "creatorsaver": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "<CONNECTOR_URL>",
      "headers": {
        "Authorization": "Bearer ${input:creatorsaver-key}"
      }
    }
  }
}
  • VS Code asks you for the key, so it is never written into the file.

Windsurf

Add this to mcp_config.json: ~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json in Windsurf, or ~/.config/devin/mcp_config.json in Devin Desktop.

JSON
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "creatorsaver": {
      "serverUrl": "<CONNECTOR_URL>",
      "headers": {
        "Authorization": "Bearer <YOUR_API_KEY>"
      }
    }
  }
}
  • Older Windsurf versions may keep mcp_config.json in a different folder.

  • Keep your API key private, like a password: anyone who has it can use your plan's credits. Keep it out of files you share or commit.
  • To disconnect an app, delete its key on the MCP page in CreatorSaver. An app using that key can no longer reach your account.
  • Each app uses your plan's credits the same way the CreatorSaver app does.
  • Menu names and config files can change between app versions. If yours differ, follow the app's own MCP guide.

  • ChatGPT usually asks you to confirm before it runs a tool that changes something or uses a credit.
  • Anything that uses a credit appears in My activity, tagged “via Claude” or “via ChatGPT”. Its AI apps tab lists every request.
Security & privacy

Your account stays yours

Claude and ChatGPT use CreatorSaver's tools without ever seeing your password.

You sign in on creatorsaver.site

Connecting opens a CreatorSaver sign-in window. Claude and ChatGPT never see your password.

Disconnect any time

Settings → Connected apps in the CreatorSaver app lists Claude and ChatGPT separately, each with Disconnect. You can also remove CreatorSaver in either app.

Public creator data only

The connector reads public creator data and your own CreatorSaver account — nothing else.

Your chats stay in Claude or ChatGPT

It does not read your chats. CreatorSaver only receives the tool requests Claude or ChatGPT sends.

Connector FAQ

Questions about the connector

Plans, credits, Claude and ChatGPT, teams and privacy.

The connector is part of every paid CreatorSaver plan, and the same link works in Claude and ChatGPT. Sign in to CreatorSaver and open MCP in the menu to copy your connector link — a free account is asked to subscribe first.

Yes, the same as the app: analyzing a profile uses 1 profile scan, a data sheet export uses 1 data export and comparing two creators uses 1 comparison. Recent scans, plan usage and top videos for a profile you analyzed in the last 24 hours are free. By default, Claude asks for your OK before it runs a tool that uses a credit, and ChatGPT usually asks you to confirm one too. Each request shows in My activity, tagged via Claude or via ChatGPT.

Yes. Connect each app once with the same link and sign in each time. They show separately in Settings → Connected apps, so you can disconnect one and keep the other. Both use the same plan credits.

That depends on OpenAI. You add CreatorSaver under Plugins on chatgpt.com, with no developer mode needed. On a Business, Enterprise or Edu workspace, an admin may need to allow custom MCP servers first, and some plans may only allow tools that don't change anything, so tools that use a credit may not be offered there. On the CreatorSaver side, any paid plan works.

Not at the moment. Custom MCP servers work in ChatGPT on the web (chatgpt.com), not in the ChatGPT mobile apps. In Claude, a connector added on the web or desktop also works in the Claude mobile app.

Yes. On Claude Team or Enterprise, an Owner adds the connector once in Organization settings → Connectors, then each member clicks Connect. On a ChatGPT Business, Enterprise or Edu workspace, an admin may need to allow custom MCP servers first. Either way, each member signs in with their own CreatorSaver account, so every request runs on that member's plan.

In the CreatorSaver app, open Settings → Connected apps and click Disconnect next to Claude or ChatGPT. You can also remove CreatorSaver in Claude's connector settings or in ChatGPT's settings.

No. CreatorSaver only receives the tool requests Claude or ChatGPT sends — for example, which profile to analyze. The connector does not read your chats.

Yes. These apps connect with a personal API key instead of a sign-in window. Create the key in CreatorSaver under MCP (any paid plan), add your connector link and the key to the app's MCP config, and keep the key private. Delete the key there to disconnect the app.
